It is us. And yet it is, so much bigger than us… so much greater and more powerful than we will ever be. It bred us. It nurtures us. We in turn cultivate it … and destroy it … and battle with our consciences and our wills to revive it.
It is inside us. We are dependent upon it. But it could wipe us out at will, without so much as a by or leave. It will never ask our permission. We will never, ever be able to stand in its way.
It is all powerful, transcendent …
It is life.

I love snow pictures, they make me go “ohhhh” I want to be their so badly…..
Me too, on the crisp, sunny days like this was. Skiing in white-out isn’t quite my thing tho’ … I hate it!
Thanks for commenting :-)
They are excellent photos but the last one is outstanding….the sky is beautiful the colours are amazing….thank you for sharing….
This was my ‘odd-one out pic’ … actually taken in Africa and was straight out of the cam as they say. The colours really were like this.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment x
Wow! Great photos! I especially love the third photo what a great shot!
Aw thank you! I adore trees and this view from below blew me away. I love the way that there is so much beauty in ‘up’ if we tip our necks to look for it :-)
Super pix, MJM.
Thanks Hun! :-)
I love winter and snow, great pictures ;)
Thank you so much. These pics all have good memories for me so it’s lovely that others appreciate them too :-)
Fantastic pictures. Such a mix of colours and textures. Can I just say, while we’re talking transcendence, your words have transcended the pictures. Powerful prose, MJM. I like.
Your comments always baffle me G as I find your stuff so amazing, but thank you so much for taking the time. It means a lot! xx
Gorgeous. I love that third shot, breath taking and the sun beams in the first one…all of them actually! Beautiful words as always. x

WOW!! Really fab photos, want to go there now :) Jen
The snowy ones are the Sella Ronda in Italy – just over the border of Germany actually so very accessible (if you can ski!) and the last one is South Africa in the Addo National Park (don’t ask me for a link … !)
So off you pop then … ;-)
that last picture is magnificent!
Wow, thank you so much! What a lovely comment :-)
